About the programme

There is a growing need, both in Denmark and abroad, for expertise in maritime industries – from off-shore energy, shipping, fisheries, marine spatial planning, and coastal engineering – sectors that are expected to grow in coming years.

Science-based engineering solution for sustainable blue growth requires both an understanding of the marine environment – both its physical and living components – as well as the knowledge and skill to implement engineering solutions in a marine setting.

This education is a collaborative effort that spans across several DTU departments; DTU Aqua, DTU Mechanical Engineering, DTU Space, DTU Wind Energy, DTU Civil Engineering, DTU Management and DTU Environment.

The MSc programme in Ocean Engineering from Technical University of Denmark (DTU) thus covers a wide range of courses in these varied areas. The study programs integrates these into a set of highly valued competences.
